Join us for our 13th Annual Run for the Roses Derby Gala and support the Mission Project!
We invite you to join us for our 13th Annual Derby Gala. We are excited to host our gala virtually this year, giving you a chance to host your own Derby Party! This year's event will feature an online auction, a livestream program hosted by FOX4 News Anchor, John Holt, and captivating stories from Mission Project Participants and family members. Read the details below to learn more about the event sponsorship & registration options! Upon registration you will be prompted to provide the names of your guests, if you don't know your guests yet you can still register, just put your name in all the slots for now and update us later!
Attire: Although our event is virtual, we encourage you to still dress up in traditional Derby attire and host your own Derby party. Tag @themissionproject on Facebook and Instagram to show off your attire the day of!
Food & Drink: Your paid registration includes a curated artisan Charcuterie Collection shipped to your door to arrive May 6th. Please refrigerate the cheese upon arrival. We will also provide recipes for traditional Derby cocktails!
*You must register or sponsor by April 23rd to receive the Charcuterie Collection experience!
Festivities:
Online Auction- The auction will open Thursday, April 28th at noon. The Auction will feature Triple Crown items including: a vacation stay in Cabo, Chiefs tickets and Josh Groban concert tickets! You don want to miss these opportunities, so get your bids in early! Register now at Derby Gala Auction
4:00pm- Virtual Cheese tasting for paid registrants via Zoom by Ray Rumiano, 4th generation co-owner of Rumiano Cheese Co. and Board at Home Cheese Expert
5:00pm- Livestream program hosted by John Holt featuring stories from participants
5:57pm (estimated time)- Derby Race Post Time-Enjoy the greatest 2 minutes in sports history!
6:10pm (estimated time)- Come back to the livestream after the race for the 50/50 raffle winner announcement and final thoughts!
