Participants like Shannon are given the opportunity and tools to follow their dreams and achieve their goals. “Being in The Mission Project, I have achieved becoming a leader and a great friend. I have also worked hard to achieve my goals of losing weight, keeping a job I love, and living alone in my own apartment. This has been my greatest journey in life. Next year, my dream is to become a teacher at Down Syndrome Innovations and teach living skills to younger kids. I am so proud of myself for coming this far in my life and excited to continue achieving my dreams through the support of the Mission Project."
